Anyone get off hold for UCSF?

Just wondering if anyone has yet gotten off hold for an interview at UCSF during this application cycle, or if anyone knows anybody that has gotten off a hold at UCSF during past application cycles.

Not from what I have heard. They told me that they are finishing up interviewing very soon. Only a few spots left...and all people on hold are being considered at the same time. So it looks like only a few more interviews are going out...and the people on hold don't have a very good chance unfortunately <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

I thought you became a Grand Member once you hit 2000 posts. What's going on? Why is Scooby Doo only a Senior Member?

Yup yup,
I got taken off hold from UCSF... i submittedd my app in november with 3 letters of rec that i considered moderate/weak. then i turned in letters for my research and teaching in december. So when i got a response Jan 2nd, it was for a HOLD...but then a little while later, they emailed me with an interview. So i guess those other letters i turned in got looked at and helped me out substantially. Hheheh, So now i'm just waiting for my interview March 21st. I just got back from a Harvard interview and so that was great practice for my top choice of SF

i am in that category and just talked to the admissions office. they said that they are actively inviting people out of that category as others cancel interviews. i was informed that out-of-state applicants have little chance (i'm in-state) they also confirmed that they are almost done interviewing. if you are not contacted in the next couple of weeks, you won't be interviewing. we will either get a thanks but no thanks letter or an interview invite very soon. either way, at least we'll know.
