Anyone have input on Michigan sports and spine fellowship?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Jeff is a good guy. the fellowship is not new. its been there for a while. you will get to do a good amount of procedures. You also will do EMG's.

They do a fair amount of sports medicine-- cover local teams

Bump this thread. Anybody have information on this fellowship?

Bump this thread. Has anybody interviewed here or completed this fellowship?

Two year fellowship is BS. They aren't that special. Losing a year of attending salary isn't worth it.

Agree remember the goal of a fellowship is to acquire a set of skills that allow you to add procedures(spine/pain), add a patient population(sports) or subtract a patient population(inpatient).
If you didn't do a pain fellowship no one cares about you fellowship title they want to see procedure log and call your references. if you can't do EMGs you program failed you and a MSK/spine practice won't give you breath in terms of cases( my guess CTS/ulnar and r/o radical all day long) to justify loosing a year.

The sports fellowship is there to entice you to be an indentured servant for a year. If you wanna do sports just do sports if you wanna do spine/pain do that.

Sounds like a great way to prey on the desire to be a complete MSK specialist and the fear of manning up to enter the match while making up for dwindling reimbursements.
