I was wondering if anyone is planning or thinking about attending this conference (July 22-26 in Snowmass, CO). The Wilderness Medical Society has a listing for it but no details yet.....is there anyone on SDN that's into this aspect of medicine?

I was hoping to attend the National Conference on Wilderness Medicine next month but unfortunately I can't fit it into my schedule....so maybe the one in July will work out better.....

Hmmmm...wilderness med is NOT ME, but my sis may show up 🙂. She's not an SDNer, though, she's far too laid back and non-neurotic for this website!!

Ah, that's cool. Mind if I ask why the lack of interest in wilderness medicine? Just not an outdoor type person?

I still have to see what my summer is going to look like as far as when i'm taking Step 1 of the USLME. If it can fit, i'm more than likely going to go.

Looking at the national conference, it seems like i might be able to fit that, too. Do they care if i just go for the weekend and if so, can they pro rate my registration fee?

I have a severe aversion to spending any non-daylight hours outdoors 🙂 unless there is alcohol and/or a bonfire involved!!!

Would LOVE to go, but i'll be knee deep in some clinical rotation by that point...!
