This guy in the wheel chair (which i feel for) was not put through to the next round for his dental floss idea... Hey listen, I dont know to much about dentistry (considering im not a dental student yet) but his floss idea was damn good... and they turned it down to a bike that can be ridden by 2 people... makes no sense... his dental floss idea was damn good... damn business people, they have no idea, it was a good idea

I just watched it too. I def agree with you. I thought the guy in wheelchair would def go to the next round. I was really shocked when he didn't pass. I can't believe they let the guy with the portable gym through..there are so many products like it out there...i def think the guy in the wheelchair had a good invention because he solved his OWN problem...

I'm curious. Can you explain his invention?

It was this curved device that you would place on your teeth and press this button and it would automatically insert the floss line in between your teeth and release... i mean it was pretty ingenious, seemed pretty practical and simple, but yet extremely complex.... Dont understand why they didnt go with him for the next round, but they except the BS double bike and stupid weights.... I really thought it was a pretty good invention. Think about putting this tool to your tooth, press a button, and BAM, your tooth is flossed. Good idea, should of went on 😍

I haven't seen the show but what you explain doesn't sound that great to me. For one thing there are already electic flossers on the market and then you have to consider that not all mouths are created equal. The contact between two teeth can be either very light (easy to get floss through) or very heavy (almost impossible to get floss through) or anywhere in between. If the contact is light then no assistance should be needed to get the floss through but if it is a heavy contact then quite a bit of force is going to be needed. If you use a machine to provide this force there will be no tactile sense to restrain it when it finally snaps through that contact and most likely its going to lacerate the hell out of your gingiva.

I agree..sounds like it wouldn't work...but, then again..who would have thought that putting the oral ectoderm from a mouse blastula in with the mesodermal mesenchyme of a hen and inserting it into an eye of a hen would form a tooth in the eye...especially since hens don't have teeth!....just proves that hens have the genetic makeup to form teeth however dont have the specific secreted factor (some transcription factor, protein) needed.....i say someone should just take a whole bunch of our mesenchyme and put it with some animals oral ectoderm and put them in a crap load of hen's eyes and use them for tooth transplants in people..think about it..we could have sharks teeth in our mouth...ahh just a thought..it's late

yea i saw it...its a good idea, but it doesnt really do it for me. Besides, he technically didnt invent anything. That thing is just a modification of flossing tools that are already out there. So in the the spirit of the show, his idea just doesnt stuck up with the others. And speaking of stupid, how bout that toilet cover to catch stupid harmless bacteria...talk about ripping off obsessive compulsive hypochondriacs....
