Does anyone (current residents or medstudents/interviewees) have information on this program? There is nothing on Scutwork and I have not seen it mentioned in any threads. Thanks.

I know that the PD was fired last year....

Whoa,

That could be good or bad depending on the situation and what it took to get him fired vs things being fabulous now under new direction...Anyone else?

He was there for approx. 1 year, and I know he was a bit odd. So I would have to say the Orlando got wind of him, and gave him the big boot. Of course I do not know for sure, but I would put money on it.

Looking over their website, all 3 of their chiefs are FMGs and they have only had 2 residents go on to cards/gi the past 4 yrs. I'd guess not that competitive. Great location though, IMO.

It could also be that those who want these types of fellowhips end up at larger academic centers so that there is proabably a bias towards those who do not want to do fellowhips and want to do either outpatient primary care or hospitalist.
