Hi! i read about people getting more aid than they need but i am wondering if there has ever been a case where a med studnet didnt' get enough aid? I have been working for about 5 years and am married. i think that my EFC is high so what if i dont' get enough? has this happened to anyone?

I have been wondering the same thing. Since no one has replied in almost a month I will take that as a NO. Hopefully.🙂

After I received my financial package from one of the schools I was accepted to, I was about $7,000 short in Financial Aid.

Needless to say, I will not be going there.

I took the HPSP and was prior active duty AF. I am about $10,000 short, but I am bound to the school. I am diligently seeking other monetary means to supplement this deficit. Hope something comes through soon...

no matter how high your efc is, you are still eligible to recieve the full amount of stafford loans, which comes to 38500 per year. private loans are always an option, as many now offer pretty close to the same interest rate and payment options as the staffords.

But what do you do when you need more aid than the school will "certify" as a budget? Private loans usually only loan up to the "certified amount, less any other aid."

I'm not getting enough financial aid - any recommended private companies to request loans from?
