This is from an ACEP report that was put together to support the "Access to Emergency Care Act" A bill we're proposing to congress. Not sure how it's doing.

I wonder if it takes into account the number of metropoli in the state and population density. A lot of the states with poor scores have mainly rural towns with only 1 or 2 true cities. They are lucky if they have even 1 level 1 trauma center in the state which doesn't do much good if you live 2 hours away from it.
