Hi everyone,
I read that some schools such as Yale and MCW are taking it in their own hands b/c of the sloppiness of AMCAS. How many people are filling out all the information online or sending a printed copy of their AMCAS application to these schools. I just got an email from Yale today that said if I wanted to speed up the application process I could fill out their supplemental form and send them a copy of all my records. Well, should I take the time to do this or should I just wait for AMCAS. I assume everyone else here who applied to these schools is in the same boat. I don't wan to waste any more money...so what is everyone else doing?
Thanks!

I am still working on the secondary question and trying and get my letters of rec together, but I'll probably send it in about a week or two. It won't cost too much on postage to send the AMCAS prinitout and I think they are taking an unofficial transcripts so working around the AMCAS delay won't be too costly.

I think I'm going to wait for a few weeks and see if AMCAS can get things running by some miracle.

I'm pretty much done with the secondary and about to submit it. I just dont want to deal with the hassle of sending Yale all of the stuff that I've already given to AMCAS.

Since Yale is non rolling admissions, it shouldnt hurt too much to wait for a month or so.

After a few more weeks, if AMCAS is still sputtering, then I will go ahead and send the primary AMCAS and other info to Yale.

I'm going to agree with baylor. the person, not the school 😀
You don't lose anything by starting to do the supplemental applicatio now. So that you dont have to manually write anything, why don't you see my 'clean and easy' yale supplemental certification form? Just something I threw together to streamline it for everyone else..
