When I was applying to dental schools this year, I searched endlessly for a "complete" book on all of the schools and their information. Unfortunately, I didn't really find one. I think the ADA or AADSAS has one you can buy, but I never did. Anyone else wonder why there hasn't been a book published on Dental Schools like there are for law/medical/undergraduate?? I know maybe because the smaller number of applicants, but still. Why not have a book that has school size, class size, location, area (urban...)average DAT scores for the last incoming class, average GPA/Sci GPA, instate vs. out of state acceptances, total acceptances and pool, board scores, clinic size and quality, curriculum, research vs. clinical, etc etc etc. To me, it seemed like finding all of this stuff out for myself was like a treasure hunt. Pieces scattered all of the place. Did any of this occur to anyone else who went through this process?

i went to Barnes and Noble (because the library had out-dated material) and found Barrow's Guide to Medical and Dental Schools. I think there were several other books and this particular one was very concise and easy to read. But I think that if you go to Borders or Barnes and Noble you should be able to find something. Look in the educational and test prep sections.

Here is the book w/ all of the answers....It is quite a valuable book to have.
