Hi friends,


I was waitlisted at NYU, Anyone who was too, and got something from them ?


When exactly can we expect to hear from them?

hi ..

i got a letter from NYU 4 weeks ago that they have SUSPENDED all interviews as they have too many applicants this year and that they will contact me in the NEAR FUTURE reg. my application ..

i called them last week and they said they are still REVIEWING the applications as they had a LOT of applications this year ..

but someone i know got an INTERVIEW in NYU back in December 2002 ..so whats going on ???????? is she got an interview back in Dec 2002, how come they have suspended interivews now ??? i dont get it ...

any input will certainly help .....

I recieved a similar letter from NYU maybe 6 weeks ago and I tried calling them a couple of times but got a similiar reply. Also I was told that they might even inform us until July about where we stand.
I know of a few people who were already called for interviews and who already have gotten the admission.
If you recieve any kind of information in this regard, please post it.

hey guys i also got a similar letter from nyu ....i called them they said we have so many applicants blah blah so i dont know what to do iam waitng with my fingers crossed

I didnt get it . Did you people get this letter after your interview or even before an interview call ? Coz I did go for an interview in dec and got ths letter saying that I am in the waiting list in dec.
Since then I dint get any info.


By the way when did all of you apply . It makes a lot of difference by the time that you apply.

i think we are talking about getting the letter from NYU BEFORE any interview .. atleast i didnt go for an interview .. i just got the letter that the interviews have been put on hold for the moment ..

i applied to NYU in early November 2002 ..

I also had an interview in December and was wait listed. I got an acceptance letter on April 18. Hang in there, there may still be a few spots left. Good luck!

hi all ..

i got a letter from NYU saying that the admissions are full for 2003 and that "admission pressures" caused them to cease any more interviews or admissions rather than my credentials.

however, they said my application would be considered for 2004, WITHOUT having to send them a re-application or another application fee. does that mean i am in the waiting list for 2004 ??

did anyone get the same letter ?

No I was never Interviewed at all..

I got a similar letter from nyu last year even before they called me for an interview. i called them to find out what was going on after a month of receiving the letter and then came to know that the classes were filled. I was asked to re-activate my application for the next year and now i'm admitted for 2003.
the earlier u re-activate ur application the better.

i'm attending nyu this fall....just wanted to let you know that the key to getting an admission offer is EARLY APPLICATION!!!

if they keep you on the waiting list things become very uncertain and your chances become very slim as time goes by......
