I mean I can read it and understand it, but it's usually the timing and going back and forth searching for answer that gets me in the end. The writing keyword method is even slower. I run out of stuff to practice. Any practice material for us out there? What do you guys use for practice?

Kinda sucks. I've looked at GRE books, SAT books and MCAT VR books.

All the passages are much shorter. Even the 'long' SAT passages are very short.

They do have much more focus on tone type questions, which may be good.

Really I feel like your best bet is to go to the book store and look through some of those books and see if anything looks good enough to buy.

Also, if you search Amazon for "reading comphrehension" there are alot of books that have that as their sole topic. Without looking through them, it is really tough to say which are good, if any of them.

If you do find any books you like, please share. I'm too poor to keep throwing money at this test... esp. not knowing if the book will be any good.

Practice writing on a dry eraseboard with a felt marker, because that is the nonsense that they give you for your test. I was a consistent RC 24 guy and got a 19 on my real DAT because every word I wrote for my outline was 5 times bigger than it should have been

Practice, practice, practice! Get as many practice tests as you could find. I used Kaplan materials and I used Topscore. The Topscore questions seemed closer to the actual DAT questions. But the passages all seemed to be about the same difficulty.

I skim through it very quickly, mapping out each paragraph and writing one or two keywords for each paragraph. Then I go answering the questions. If I can't answer a question quickly, then I skip it. Chances are I find it on my way to find other answers.

My test RC score was 22.
