AOA research fellowship?

I was wonderin if getting a research fellowship will help a residency app that much. I suppose any little thing will help, but does it help a lot? I suppose it's all part of the big picture (with board scores and 3rd year grades being up there). But was just wondering if the AOA research fellowship is seen as a bigger deal or do residencies just don't care?
