AOA Surgery Residency AFTER Completing ACGME Prelim Surgery Year

TL;DR:
1. Osteopathic student that skipped the AOA match and interviewed/ranked ACGME categorical surgery positions only
2. Now paranoid about match chances.
3. May end up in ACGME prelim surgery position
4. Is it possible/feasible to enter an AOA general surgery residency after completing an ACGME prelim year?
5. 99% sure I'd have to repeat my intern year. Is this correct?
