I got accepted from the waitlist to WashU the other day. I checked online and they don't explicitly say anything about using AP credit granted by my university to fulfill requirements. Does anybody know whether they take it? I tried a search but couldn't find an answer to this specific question.

The one i'm concerned about is a very random thing... if I don't count APs, I don't meet the requirement for general chemistry because I only took 1 sememster of advanced gen chem while I took 2 of orgo and 2 of biochem... It would suck to lose my acceptance over something as silly as that.

I'm definitely going to call them tomorrow but was wondering if anybody knew the answer now so i'm not worrying all night. Thanks!

Usually they take it, yes. They PREFER it to be done in college, but so long as it is on your transcript as "Gen chem" they should take it I would think.

They accepted you....so what's the problem?

You can get accepted without having fulfulled the prereqs. You only have to fulfill them before matriculation. I'm just curious now because if I still need to take an additional class to fulfill this, I need to jump into a random gen chem class at a local school to get it done over the summer.

If you can't find it on the website then there is no harm in e-mailing or calling them.

Just called and they will take it as long as it shows up on the college transcript! Hahaha I was worried that I'd have to take chem through the University of Pheonix or something since I'm going abroad soon.
