If you failed and have to retake it in February can your programs see that?
 
had the right number of questions this time so thats a plus.....how do they score the exam and what do you need to pass

I believe programs can see how many times you've taken the test, but I've only gathered that from other SDN posts in the past. Maybe things have changed ?

Last year when I was a 3rd year resident reviewing applications for my PD, I didn't see any update for step 2 results. We asked the potential candidates about result. And yes, I saw how many attempts for the step 1.
 
has anyone gotten a response back as to why their score says 55 even though they feel they did not fail especially not the minimum score possible.
 
No response yet, I am trying to get in touch with NBPME today to see what is going on. I doubt they will give me any proper information but I will report back with anything I get.
 
Same thing happened to me with the score of 55. I just paid for a rescore but we'll see how long that takes.
 
Apparently everything was done correctly according to NBPME, the test administration and the scoring. They just recommended doing a rescore but not to get our hopes up.
 
I got my test re-scored. I ain’t expecting much as someone else stated here but I’m gonna give it a try since the whole situation is really weird

How long does rescoring usually take?
 
You're best bet is to ask the administrators of the test. There are not going to be a lot of people who've underwent a rescoring who can help you with the question.

A joke answer would be that the rescoring is instantaneous since they already know what the right and wrong answers were...

I think it said somewhere on the FAQ that they are manually rescoring the exam which I’m assuming takes time.

I got a 56. Still super strange considering that I only felt that a handful of questions were truly tricky. Like this got me really scratching my head lol. Maybe I performed abysmally but, like, I still don’t think I got the minimum score

I wonder if whatever AI service they’re using rn accidentally graded only the experimental questions and skipped over the actual graded questions of the test, kinda like the inverse scenario of what happened with APMLE part 1 last year, if that makes sense

They said 5-8 business days
 
Just got my re-score back, the score didn't change at all 💀. I still don't think it's right considering I felt very prepared for the exam and the amount of other people that received a 55 too.

Well, I guess that means we gotta shell out another stack for this test unfortunately. Haven’t gotten my score back yet but still

Let me tell you, I’m one for admitting I failed something, etc
But I’m not gonna lie, this whole ordeal got me mad suspicious, especially with multiple people saying the same thing
This got me thinking that they’re trying to sweep the ordeal under the rug by doubling down
But that’s just me 🤷‍♂️
 
to my fellow colleagues, i am genuinely sorry from the bottom of my heart that you all & others are victims of another tragedy, know that nothing remains hidden in the shadows for the rest of forever though, if all affected who received any scores from 55s - 74s would be willing to DM me percentage breakdowns noted on rescore reports received via mail along with numerical scores and those of any others whom they know, i would appreciate it, also include the date that you took the APMLE pt 2 in jan 2026, thank you in advance, may the odds be ever in your favors...

P.S. i am not looking for anyone to DM me exact reports unless you feel comfortable (remove/ black out all important info), simply stats & date work otherwise, just to clarify, some of have already informed me, i know others have yet to receive their reports, i would find it helpful....also feel free to notify me of any additional complaints experienced at test centers this year, i stand with each & every one of you & those before

i am only here for you if you wish you want someone to be there for you who understands this twisted mess like no other....
