Does anyone know anything about appealing? I was put on "hold" for an interview at UCI, so I called them today, and they told me that the only thing I could do at this point is to "appeal" that decision. I'm gonna appeal, cuz UCI is one of my top choices for med schools. So do I send additional material to them? Or explain why they should interview me?? Thanks.

Explain what you think makes you a good candidate [something they may have missed] and indicate your interest in that school. peace.

My friend tried appealing at UCLA last year...sadly, they told him he was still on hold...I think they just say you can appeal to make you feel like you have some control over the process. But I should also tell you that two of my friends who applied last year were interviewed after being told they were on the "hold." i think they do it because they have so many applicants. i would wait it out. but good luck whatever you decide.

Hey, thanks guys. I appreciate your help. I talked to my premed advisor today, and she told just to wait, because my file is going to go through a second time for another review. So I htink I'm gonna wait until I get rejected before I appeal.

Good luck everyone!
