I'm just going to track this throughout the whole application process to see how much I end up spending, I'm sure there's quite a few of you out there who will blow me out of the water, so feel free to add your own.

As of 7/15:

AMCAS (11 Schools) - $430
Transcipts - $9
Postage - $15

I'm a CA resident, so I had to spend a LOT....i was going to try to calculate how much I spent, but all I have now are rough estimates. (i got too scared to fully do it). This isn't even counting my MCAT courses/extra books/taking the test twice!

AMCAS ~1K
Secondaries (~25 schools x $60-105 per app) ~2K
Transcripts $10
LOR service $150
Postage $10
Mailing 2-3 things via express mail cuz of deadlines $30
Traveling to interviews, gas, cabs, public transportation (mainly driving & train, 1-2 plane rides, 1 hotel) ~1.5K. Staying with family/friends/student hosts really helped!

Grand total, around $4-5K. My savings (which I'd been saving up since 3rd year of college) went from almost 10K to 4-5K from it all. OUCH!

Good luck with the app process! It's sooo worth it in the end.
