Apply w/ low scores

Say one were to receive below average scores on the mcat. would there be any disadvantages to only applying to 3 or 4 state schools (other than the money) just to try their luck; could this potentially hurt one in the next application cycle?

From the way I felt after leaving the test center in April, I'm pretty sure I bombed my MCAT. I'm in the same situation not knowing if I should apply or not. I've got a 4.0 and several volunteer/leadership positions and will be graduating with my undergrad. in Biology after 2.5 years. Any suggestions?

You guys should just wait untill tomorrow when you know your scores. There is not much sense in trying to get advice when you don't really know your situation. With a decent score you should be accepted with a GPA like you have.
