I know this guy who is applying as a first year student next year to this allopathic medical school after a full year of being an osteopathic medical student.
Do you think admission committees will even look at this guys application, I mean why give a person a spot at their medical school when being accepted some where else.
Do you guys know anyone who did the same thing this guy did and got accepted.

My thought is that this guy will be considered a transfer...some schools do take transfers to fill spots from attrition between 1st and 2nd yrs. But there are very few spots. Your friend should check directly with each school he is thinking about transfering to!
