I’ve been out of FM residency for almost 3 years now and want to apply for sleep medicine fellowship. I did rotate through sleep and loved it but with timing I could not apply until now. My concern is that the position I’m in, I’ve have very limited contact with other physicians and mostly have worked with midlevels. Is it ok to get a LOR from a midlevel? I do not want my Medical Director to be aware that I may leave so it’s not like I can ask her. Or is it better to get letters from residency even though I have not worked with them in almost 3 years?
