I noticed that it's not possible to apply to more than one program for MCPHS. For people that applied/ are applying there, how did you choose which program to apply for? And which is more competitive? I know they are different, as Worcester is accelerated. I would just be happy to get into either...

If you would be happy with either then go straight to Worcester. You are out in 2 years and 9 months. That's if you think you can handle the load.

I applied to Worcester because Boston would not transfer any of my Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology..... Boston will not transfer any of the classes that you took if they are taking it during 3rd year on (Professional year). Unlike Boston, you go into Worcester as professional, and the prerequisites that they require you to take will transfer, therefore you won't have to retake them. If you have plenty of experience and dont' mind not having summers off, apply early and Worcester should not be a problem.

i thought worcerstor was the only option to apply, since boston is only taking students straight out of high school, am i thinking wrong. 😳
can we apply to either boston or worcestor or do we even have a choice?

Yes, Boston is a 0-6 program meaning that they accept high school graduates, however, depending on the number of spots open in the first professional year (3rd year), they will take transfers as P1 students when space allows.
hope this helps.

is there any difference between the manchester and worcester programs?

aside from city-life, they are basically the same except that the classes are mostly taught at Worcester, and from Manchester, you get to look at the professor from an LCD screen. The classes are taught at the same time for worcester and manchester. If you don't mind not looking at a real live professor in person, then either one campus is fine. You can ask questions and everything even in Manchester because both campuses can see each other through cameras.

If you can't make up your mind, there are transfer pharmD orientations at those schools all throughout the year where they tell you more about that. It is pretty cool and you get to visit the dorms, labs, and everything.. so I would suggest you to visit those during summer, then make up your mind and start applying in september.

Well, since the city life has been mentioned... I know what Boston is like, but what is the city of Worcester like? Thanks.
