Lately I've been reading a lot of posts but not posting much so I figured may as well join in and start a thread 😛
QUESTION: With people applying to 20-40 schools, AMCAS is making big bucks and we are suffering. What is the benefit in applying to so many schools unless admissions has just become hit or miss?
MY THOUGHTS: It seems like flooding the admissions process with applications to schools that you would never go to anyway is negative for everyone. For the applicant, expensive, and for the other applicants, makes screening process more standardized score dependent and less quality applicant and best fit applicant oriented. I bet admissions would like to receive fewer applicants too.
