Applying to NIH IRTA Post-Bacc

Hi Everyone,
I am very interested in applying to NIH IRTA's program and have been doing some research as to the best way to earn a position as a researcher. I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on applying. I had couple of questions.

How do I find a list of PI's to email? (I saw a lot of people took this route when applying)

How hard is it to get a position, how qualified were you if you got accepted?
