Appropriateness of Contacting Interviewer

Hi People,
I was wondering if it is okay to contact my interviewer. All these websites and books say to do so the second you are placed on a waitlist but I am not sure how okay that is gonna be. I want to ask him if there is anything I can do to help push myself off of the waitlist. Any other ideas?

It's ok to contact your interviewer. I've done it before and he was evry supportive, but didn't give me any real advice....he just told me to talk to the dean. 🙄

You can write a letter of intent to the dean of the school and letters to the interviewers. I do not think that would hurt you or anything.
