Resource: You are being redirected...Hi! I am currently holding acceptances to three medical schools. On April 30th, am I required to simply select "plan to enroll" for a specific school, or do I need to "commit to enroll" to one and officially decline my other offers? Some of the medical schools are not sending out scholarship information until after this date which is why I am a little bit confused. Thank you in advance for your help!
"Commit" becomes available on April 30. AMCAS only has some guidance but the schools should tell you what their procedures are. As I read it you don't have to commit on April 30, but it is the earliest date when you can choose to commit. It does not withdraw you from any other schools when you "plan to attend." What is important is that your plan/commit status is revealed to the schools that are still in play to help them plan accordingly.
