So being a California resident of ORM status Indian-Asian

What are the chances of staying in CA(MD) with a:
GPA: 3.78
MCAT: 509
EC: Research, hospital volunteer, Habitat for Humanity, Homeless shelter volunteer. Let me know if you would like specifics about ECs or if it makes a difference. No shadowing btw. LORs from PI, 2 science profs.

Pretty much Average/Below Average ECs.
I'm not opposed to DO schools, it's just that my stats are competitive for a few MDs so might as well shoot for the stars and if nothing works out, hopefully I get into a DO.

You have a good shot at a US MD school, if you apply to a smart list of schools! Staying in CA though, yeah that is hard, gotta be ready to move elsewhere.

You do have a decent shot at some MD schools. Prob won't be able to stay in CA. Also, apply DO too. Western COMP and Touro are you best bets if you want to stay in CA.
