Would a class like Yoga be considered an EC? I like instructional classes like Yoga and kickboxing...but I was told by a friend they are not EC. Now I considered this strange and would like to ask people who I believe have more knowledge if they are or are not.

Wiki says: Extracurricular activities are activities performed by students that fall outside the realm of the normal curriculum of school or university education.

As long as you aren't taking these class through a school (and getting credit), it should count as an EC.

Yoga is an EC. A yoga class, by definition, is not. So just stress that yoga is a hobby and why you like it. You can also mention you've taken classes in it.
