I am new on SDN, I found out about the site about a month ago from an older sister.

I have a question for the people on pre-allopathic. I was looking through Ebay for MCAT. And most of them go for 1 penny. This includes Kaplan and Princeton Review material.

Are these stuff legitimate? Has anybody ordered anything from Ebay before?

I don't want to pay for books that won't help out for next year's MCAT.

Thanks.

Stacy

I wouldn't go with the $.01, but ya sure they are legit. Most of them are kaplan, and some are various practice tests. All they are is either old review books or copied practice tests.

They are legit. However, note they are not 'buy it now'. The user has 17 positives on the one I looked at. Also, I am not sure what the latest version is for Kaplan guides. The one I looked at was a 99 edition. It's up to you of course! If you have NO materials, I'd hold off for someone selling a lot of materials. A 'lot' meaning a group of materials.

The Gaylord Focker MCAT Sheet is hilarious. It even has his social security number from the movie.

Is there an advantage for Buy it Now items?

The problem with EBAY is that you never know if the items are legit until after you pay and recieve (or dont recieve) them. Someone might advertise 2004 Kaplan materials, and you could get a stack of old newspapers. At the same time, you could get all the Examkrackers materials for half price or less. As some would say about another matter "It's a Crapshoot"

they should be legit; however, u dont really know how much they have been used and also what edition they are. also, u should check for shipping and handling (some people charge a helluva lot to make up for the cheap price for which they sold their item). you can also try half.com and there people say what condition the book is in (but its an honesty sytem)

legit possibly. legal...doubtful although it's unlikely that kaplan patrols ebay.
