I was interested in applying to Samford but in Florida things such as literature, PE and statistics weren't required. Also, I took American History instead of world or western civ.
Is it not worth applying to if I haven't had literature or statistics? I have a degree already and took a political science statistics course for my major and I was in ROTC for a couple years which should easily be better than any PE course. What do ya'll think?

Definately apply. Many schools waive some of these non-science courses if you are a good candidate. Others allow you to take the courses you are missing between P1 and P2 years. Others will offer early acceptance for the next year, proivided you finish whatever prereqs you need... so definately apply if you are only missing one or two prereqs. Now if you are missing several, that's a different story, but a few should be doable.... Never be afraid to ask to discuss options about waiving or substituting classes like PE, etc. Just my opinion, and from experience... I applied to 7 schools and they all had different prereqs... every school that I had an issue with has been willing to work with me. I haven't got any acceptances yet, but two interviews so far, and those from the schools that I lacked one class for (a different class for each school!). I also have a degree, and I feel this has helped.

Call the admissions office directly and politely ask them this question. They'll tell you what their school is willing to substitute, etc.
