I am interested in studying abroad but since an MPH is only a 2-yr degree, does anybody ever do it and get funded for it? I am focusing on health research and policy.

I can only speak for the school I know about, Emory, but there are many students that participant in Global Field Experiences. There is school funding that is available plus many students are funded by various agencies. Generally the field experiences are done the summer between 1st and 2nd year.

Agreed... Each school will have its own available internships and programs. At Berkeley, there are a good number of students who take overseas internships between the 1st and 2nd year (a required internship for the MPH). Some are paid, some are not, but there are various funding avenues to be tapped for the unpaid ones.

Ask around at your school, see what's available...
