It seems to me alot of schools are only friendly to their state's residents so I'm trying to figure out which schools I should consider applying to.

Chicago Medical - Finch U of HS
Creighton Uiversity of School of Medicine
Drexel University College of Medicine
George Washington University Sch of Med & Hlth Sci
Georgetown University School of Medicine
University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine
University of Virginia School of Medicine

If you know of other schools that are friendly to out of state applicants please list them.
thanks

9000 people apply to the two DC schools, so i would assume so..

GW, Gtown, Drexel, and Finch I know are out of state friendly. Isnt Creighton private too?

i dont know about iowa or uva, i'm sure as state schools they favor instate residents somewhat but someone else can speak on that.....

and nymc

agree with DW on the others...

GW, gtown, drexel, finch, are pretty good for out of state...

dunno about Carver or UVA cause their state schools

Ohio State University and University of Cincinnati are not particularly more difficult to get into as an out-of-state applicant than any other private medical school. I was out-of-state and accepted at each in late October, even.

UVa takes many out of state residents. They have about a 60/40 mix of in-state/out-of-state. But UVa is a good school so you should only apply if you think you are competitive to get in or if you really want to go.

Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee) is pretty out-of-state friendly...
