Are you all buying actual passport photos to send to schools?

They're expensive!! I'm thinking about just taking one with my sister's digital camera and getting them developed at Target or something.

Yup, lots of people are using digital camers & getting them developed elsewhere (kinkos, cvs, wlamart, etc). If you do a search, there are a few threads with ideas on what to do 🙂

A digital camera and my printer ... 🙂

you could always get one passport set done, then take them to Eckerd or your "neighborhood drugstore" and have them scanned and printer for 20cents each, just another option for you! 🙂

That's exactly what I did! I took my picture to Eckerds and I got 16 of them printed for six bucks or so. That'll save the ink on your printer too 🙂

I'm getting a portfolio done at a modeling agency, and then sending each school a copy of my sexiest poses.

  Thanks everyone, sure beats paying $5 for 2 pics

if you guys are close to a cvs that has a photo dept. you can get a whole sheet of passport size pictures (i think its like 16 or 18) for 6 bucks. Not such a bad deal. You can use them for passports too if you need one and they can digitally enhance your face in case there are shadows or something.

Take your passport photos at Wal-mart, Walgreens, CVS or anywhere else that takes them. Then, go to Kinko's and have them copied on the color printer. Be sure to use glossy print paper. I payed $2.88 for three pages and a total of 36 photos.

for sure! i think i found that costco was the cheapest!
also, for some secondaries (MCW, and Mt. Sinai), you actually have to upload your picture, so i guess you definitely need it on your computer for that.

Just grab one and beat it out of them

Just throw the ringer!

1) Take a digital picture at high quality, 1600x1200
2) Edit it's size on photoshop so that it's small enough for 1.5x1.5 while maintaining the quality and place it on a white background(this gives you versatility so that you can zoom and make bigger photos larger than 1.5 x 1.5)
3) Take it to Kinkos and use their digital photo machine.

Is this better than actual passport photos?
Well, it's cheaper. You can edit the zoom, contrast, brightness, and color, print out as many copies as you want whenever you want or just take a new one if you start to look better one day, and your one photo can be manipulated for different sizes for schools who have different requirements.

i'm realizing i look shockingly similar to my senior class pictures from high school and photocopying them 😉 apparently shoulders up 18 and 22 are quite similar...
