I am interested in the grading system of the Basic Courses at Medical schools in Argentina.
What constitutes a passing grade? Is there a minimum grade/average a student needs to maintain in order to move on to the rest of the medical courses?

Are the exams written, oral or both?

Thanks for any replies.

So in the UBA in Argentina, the CBC is one of the filter years before med school proper. I say one because the first four years are actually a big filter (theoretical cycle). Since everybody gets in no matter the grade they need to weed out a lot of people.

Almost all of the exams are oral and to move on to the medical courses one just needs to have a passing grade in all of the CBC subjects.
