So I'm finally taking the AAMC 3R for practice today....I've finished studying half of chem, gotta go thru bio and ochem.

I'm starting to get scared again. It's weird and it sucks because I'm confident that I know the material and content but when I start to read pasages, I lose focus really easily. It's really hard for me to read every word and look at every reaction/experiment and process it.

And I already sent in my AMCAS. I can't possibly do any worse than the April test (knock on wood) but now I'm worried that I won't do well enough....I dread going through this process again next year but I will if I have to. I think it's even more frustrating for me because I've never not done well on something after studying. Yes, I understand it is a reasoning test but I think I'm having a hard time because my mind takes a while to process information before I fully understand it so short little passages on the MCAT throw me off from my usual learning style. This only happens in the PS section...I'm absolutely fine in verbal and bio.

I just needed to vent and take a break from studying. Maybe I need to put in more effort...

Off to the gym for stress release...

Thank you for listening/reading... 😳

You don't need to put in more effort, you need a chill out a bit. It seems like you're getting a little too bogged down by all the info that is spat at you in the PS section. Try taking a practice PS section where you try to only get the general idea of what they are testing in the passage rather than trying to master is right away. You'll find out that most of the info was unnecessary and you will most likely score a lot higher.

Then again, this is your first practice exam and you'd most likely come to this realization after a lot of practice. good luck, you'll do fine.

Well, technically it's not my first practice exam cuz I took the April MCAT. But I'm looking up the solutions to 3R online and I'm seeing that I'm missing obvious things....So I'm just going to let my mind loose and go with my instincts and not think too hard this time.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

I love SDNers... 😍
