OK...this is the email that I got:
January 2002
Dear Applicant to the College of Medicine:
We are pleased to provide you with information regarding financial aid at
the University of Arizona College of Medicine. We are sending this to all
applicants so that you will be able to meet the priority service date of
March 1, 2002 and have the opportunity for full consideration of all types
of aid if you are admitted.
If you believe that you will need financial aid, we strongly suggest that
you begin by applying through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA). The federal Website address is <a href="http://www.fafsa.ed.gov" target="_blank">http://www.fafsa.ed.gov</a> and our
school code is 001083. Students who apply by the priority service date are
considered by the University of Arizona for grant funds in addition to
loans; it also insures sufficient time for the financial aid office to
prepare your aid for our College of Medicine start date in July
2002. Apply while you are waiting for a decision on your application for
admission. To be considered for all types of aid at the University of
Arizona, your FAFSA application must be received at the federal processor
by March 1, 2002. We suggest you "Give Yourself a Valentine" and apply by
February 14 to allow for mail time, heavy Website traffic, or other delays.
For information about the aid process, various state and federal aid
programs, scholarship programs, and choosing a lender for the Federal
Stafford Loan, please review our Website at
<a href="http://www.medicine.arizona.edu/financial-aid." target="_blank">http://www.medicine.arizona.edu/financial-aid.</a> You may apply through the
FAFSA on the web or by mail to the federal processor. Upon your notice of
acceptance, submit other applications to the College of Medicine Financial
Aid Office. PLEASE USE THE CHECKLIST BELOW to note your completed
applications and dates mailed or delivered. If you do not have easy access
to the Internet, contact Sherri McClellan by calling (520) 626-7145 or by
e-mail at
[email protected] and she will send you printed information.
We wish you well in your pursuit of a medical education. Please feel free
to contact the College of Medicine Financial Aid Office at (520) 626-7145
if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Maggie Gumble
