"Arizona Republicans File Bill to Punish Abortion Doctors with the Death Penalty"

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I don’t disagree with any of this, as I’ve said repeatedly. Not sure why you want to keep tilting at windmills.

Yeah sorry, I spent Valentine’s Day with my wife and I’m spending my day off with my kids. But as I said before, since you clearly have a judgement already in mind, there’s no point. I’ve said more than once now that pro-life violence definitely outnumbers pro-choice violence and that as far as I know, pro-choice violence is limited to a small number of assaults and not the domestic terror that pro-life groups commit. But you keep mischaracterizing what I said as “there is just as much violence on the pro-choice side.” So no, I can’t post articles showing that, since it’s not true. But I never said it was.

Our definition of loonies clearly differs, because I don’t just mean people who commit violence. People who try to make it so federal tax dollars pay for abortion, who promote abortion as birth control, and people who post insane **** on social media are all loony toons to me. There are plenty of those people on both sides.

You said "pro-choice people assault pro-life people more regularly than you realize" and I asked for the articles. So you said you’d send them to me when you got to a computer. Like I said before I’m interested in this info to learn more what people on "my side" are doing and to hopefully help counteract that because I don’t think assaults are ok. And clearly I was ignorant to that happening more regularly than I think as you said. You told me it was a simple Google search which I tried doing on 2 computers and my cell phone.

Of course I’m not going to change my views on wanting people to be able to access care they need including abortion care, but I certainly want to understand more about what pro-choice groups are doing, especially if that includes assaults that are happening more regularly than I realize like you said.

Ah, see that might be where we’re missing each other. It’s not pro-choice groups. The only ones I know of are individuals doing it. I literally just googled pro-life protester assaulted by pro-choice person and

Respect Life Mass disrupted by protesters
(This one didn’t have a chance to become violent because the police escorted them out, but it could have and it is an incidence of 8 pro-abortion people bursting into a church to interrupt a mass.)

These were literally just the first page. I’m sure if I keep going back I’ll find more.

Not necessarily. I’m pro-life in that I am anti-abortion, but I don’t believe that abortion restrictions other than a ban on late-term abortions should exist. I’d rather a woman who is going to get an abortion anyway have a safe and legal way to get it than force her to have to choose between breaking the law and carrying out a pregnancy she really doesn’t want.
You keep calling yourself pro-life, when in fact this view is pro-choice.

I like Biden’s view on it (from when he was VP).

I hate it and hence want to make it a rare thing.

Ofcourse, that involves comprehensive sex education, easy access to birth control etc which most R states don’t do resulting in states like Texas having one of the highest teen pregnancy rates.
I have a chart somewhere showing how much abortion goes down under dem presidents and how much it goes up under repub presidents.

A lot of pro-choice people also support policies that actually support mothers and children, which has an affect on abortion rates. Prevent unwanted pregnancies, but also support mothers and more will keep their babies.

Yes exactly. I can't stand the hypocrisy of antichoicers being so anti abortion AND anti social welfare, anti childcare, anti maternal care, anti sex education, anti contraceptives/birth control. It feels so authoritarian and reactionary, plus ridiculously sexist

This. So many pro-life groups are shooting their cause in the foot by ignoring or being outright against this stuff. It makes no sense.

Yeah I know. When someone asks me irl what I am, I say I’m pro-choice, but I am in the pro-choice camp where abortion should be safe but rare.
Am I still pro-choice if I think abortion should be legal but I think birth control should be mandatory?

The license to parent thing is ridiculous, just going to end up eugenics.

There's a reason we say reproduction is a human right. Can't even rob it from the severely mentally ******ed with sterilisation.

Same with deficits, but people keep voting for Republicans, specially the ones that R’s hurt (and D’s help) the most.

I bet you're a blast at parties.

I can't believe I have to spell this out:. It. Was. A. Joke.

That's how the cool kids say stuff online these days, right?

Ah yes. The old "post a controversial suggestion and then dismiss it as a joke when the responses were too critical" trick.

Thanks for sharing. Will read when I get a chance.

So you think that you should be able to abort a baby who could survive outside the womb? I have friends with kids born at 35-37 weeks. They aren’t just blobs of protoplasm. They’re babies. At some point it’s too much.
Do you really think you need a law in place to keep normal healthy 34 week fetuses from being aborted?
