Hello fellow docs!

I’m an Army dentist looking to apply to ortho. I graduated from a school with a P/F and no class rank so I’m not sure how that’ll affect me. But I did hundreds of hours of research in undergrad, while getting published on 2 papers. I’m currently doing research in the Army. Do you guys have any other things I should do? I’m planning on taking the GRE but wanted some recommendations on what to study. What did you guys feel prepared you the most?

TIA!

I highly recommend Magoosh for your GRE. Great user interface and tons of questions/practice tests on there.

My thoughts on your ortho app as a whole...
- your p/f and no rank puts more weight on your GRE score (I think)
- get a good GRE score (interviewers brought it up several times so I'm assuming it helps a bit)
- your research experience is strong, no need to focus much more on this
- note any interesting or fun extracurriculars you did/do, especially during quarantine
- volunteer
