How to successfully match? Make sure you do a 4th year rotation at your program of interest, and do a good job, fit in well with the other residents & junior staff.

Wish I could give more helpful info, but people that I thought were shoo-ins didn't make it, so I obviously have no idea what they were looking for

Ditto to what everyone else said. Work hard on your rotation where you want to go, but don't forget to keep working hard on every other rotation, and on the boards. Also, make sure you get in some good face time with the program director and/or assistant program director.

Anesthesia at Walter Reed. I would say to match just show up, as I did. The others will just hide and get deferred...but that depends on your specialty.

Definitely incomplete because the Army SAUSEC Dermatology (San Antonio, TX) selections are missing.

On a side note, I see there was an Army person selected to go to Navy Derm (most likely at Naval Medical Center San Diego, California). Naval Medical Center San Diego is the best Derm spot in the military (great training and location)! So that Army person is very fortunate
