Hi
This question is in the 1-H Dental anatomy section but the answer is not scored!

The muscle of mastication that is primarily responsible for synchronising the movement of the condyle and the articular disc is the :
1. Masseter
2. Temporalis
3. Medial Pterygoid
4. Lateral pterygoid

I think the answer is 4 because the superior head of lateral pterygoid inserts into the disc
Is there a possibility if any other answer?

I think it will be lateral pterygoid since one of the heads inserts directly into the condyloid process thus making it most likely to influence the TMJ

The lateral pterigoid inserts both in the condyle and the disc, thus when it contracts it exerts its forces on both the condile and disc, therefore "Synchronising" their movement.
