I was recently accepted to ASDOH, which is also my top pick. My significant other is considering making the move with me, but is hesitant without knowing anybody in the area and about leaving behind a great job in the IT field with CISCO certifications. Is anybody familiar with the "family friendly" aspects of ASDOH? Are spouses invited or welcome to the events ASDOH students attend? I've heard ATSU offers free gym memberships to students and their spouses, as well as free counseling. They seem to be pretty family friendly, but I'm just looking for some other opinions/input.

Yes. They love the fams. I understand a good chunk of students have significant others and many with children as well. A couple people with families have pointed out on tours that they lock you out of the lab at night because they don't want you living there.

Just reinforcing jeffity's response. ASDOH is a great place if you have a family. You'll find support from other student family's, and the surrounding neighborhood is safe with lots of parks, and good libraries/schools.

The area looked mellow and price of a house is cheap!
