Asking For an Attending's Endorsement?

I rotated at a program which I am very interested in as a medical student. I haven't gotten an interview invite to this program. I was thinking of emailing one of the faculty that I worked with, however I'm not exactly sure what to say. I want to express interest in the program, however is there a way I can get them to pick up the phone and call the admission's office?

Ask if they can shoot an email to the PD. Just tell your attending the situation as it is.
