Aspiring to be a tech?

Hey guys! I'm a pharm student in my p1 year. I've never been a tech before and the only experience I have is a couple shadowing hours, which really didn't help much...How can I go about becoming a tech for a hospital pharmacy? I'm thinking long term, I really want it to help my chances of landing a residency...plus I just really want to be a tech, it would help a lot having this experience.

I'm currently an intern but have not had any experience in a pharmacy nor has the school required us to utilize our intern license as of yet...

It would be great if I could get started on this and begin working as soon as possible.
