    can you deselect a letter then add the chair letter?
    there is no guarantee that the programs will re upload, so programs that require a chair letter may not offer up an invite.

    for future applicants… four is all you get…if you need a PTAL for cali then it takes the place of one of the 4…not in addition to...

    Not anymore. They fixed that little loophole a year or 2 ago.

    Why? What's done is done. Your med school sucks for not warning you about this. Tell them so and call them out here if they didn't. If you skipped the meeting they held to discuss this (my school had 3 separate, "required" meetings to discuss application and Match related stuff, lots of people skipped) then it's on you. If you're a Carib grad, this is likely minimally relevant.
