How do you guys feel about going to a pharmacy school like UCSD/USC where it is like being an undergrad again? Enjoying campus life, big parties, cheering for your sports team, etc.

What about going to a pharmacy/health profession -only school like MCPHS-Worcester ?

Well, i go to a university, with all the campus life, parties and sports games and its tonns of fun, but the pharmacy students at LIU are very segregated from everyone else. They have their own building, their own yearbook, their own graduation ceremony, and others don't like them because of that. Pharmacy students at LIU don't really participate at any campus events, and when one P2 student ran for student gov't position, everyone was against it b/c "pharmacy students don't affiliate themselves with LIU student activities". But the guy won and he was a very good VP.
I think pharmacy student just have more work then others, and they dont always find time to participate.

i was told at vcu they do IM sports, go to vcu sports, etc. and i really like that. i thought south sucked balls because they didn't have anything like that at all. clearly its not going to be mixing totally with ugrads, but having some of those options are good i think.
esp IM sports. yay for those. thats really all i care about haha.

this thread is really interesting. haven't given it much thought tilll now. I would like to hear about more pharm schools that promote a university-esque atmosphere for their pharm students (like IM sports and integration w/ the rest of campus). Anyone else have information for the other university-based pharmacy schools?

University of Texas at Austin! It's awesome! 👍 Go Longhorns!

You have way more resources at a university for example having tons of libraries. 👍

lol...i went to ucsd for undergrad and we're often confused with sdsu as the party school. so if u're going to ucsd, get ready to party at geisel 😀 . oh, and our football team is undefeated 😉 . even so, sd grows on you and i'm gonna miss it so much when i leave for pharm school.
