Hey guys, I went to one of USC's information sessions today and I got some pretty interesting information. I hope this will help someone! sorry if this is so long...

Ok, first of all for you waitlisted students...I heard from a student interviewer that students who were accepted but missed the mandatory orientation will LOSE THEIR SPOT on that day. What happens is that people who are on the waitlist will be called to take the accepted person's spot. So for those of you are willing to wait and have nothing to lose (ie USC is the only school you applied to), DONT LOSE HOPE! Keep your phonelines open! Good luck you guys! :luck:

Ok current applicants:
*I heard that the supplementary application website was having a technical difficulty, but the admissions lady told me that the IT who is in charge of that page is going to have that fixed today. So try that page again tomorrow.

*If you get an interview, you are ALMOST THERE! They have about 500 interviews and will accept maybe 300 or so. So prepare, prepare, prepare for that interview. During the interview try to tell them as many things about you as you can since its a blind interview.

*You should not be afraid to repeat yourself. Dont think that the interviewers know ANYTHING about you. Try to say something that will be memorable. The interviewers usu. wont write anything down until AFTER the interview. They have 5 minutes after the interview, which usually lasts about 20 minutes to write down things they learned about you. So say something interesting and original!

That is all I remember right now, but if I remember more later I will post that up too. Hope this helped~!

300 students? The lecture hall can hold only 200 students and as far as I know, they are not building a new lecture hall.

Yes, they arent building new lecture halls, but not all students who get accepted will take USC up on their offer. Some will end up going to other schools. This is just like when schools accept more people than they can accomodate for undergrad school. If they didn't over accept and then not all the 200 spots are filled, they basically wasted spots.
