All you fellow AO users, my Bio Lecture 5 CD is scratched to hell and can't get it to play. Does anyone have that lecture on their computer as an mp3 or mp4. I have them on my ipod but I couldn't load this lecture bc the cd was so scratched that it froze my iBook each time I tried to rip it.
Please IM me if you can help. Thanks.

If you have them on your Ipod, you can pull it down from to your hard drive. There is an ipod forum that has info on how to pull stuff down. Google it. There is also a utility out there that can pull it.

If you've got it in m4b you may need to rename the file to mp4 and use a converter and burn the files to CD. Realize if you did save it in any format other than WAV or apple lossless than you'll loose quality (hence the term lossy formats - mp3, mp4, etc..)

It's always makes good sense to save (archive) a copy of the cd in lossless format (FLAC, APE, WMA Lossless, Apple Lossless) to your harddrive incase you need to recreate a cd. Some may argue that voice probably doesn't need the extra space required by lossless, but others (aka audiophiles) would argue otherwise 😀

Good Luck,

Try emailing Examkrackers at their website. Once, they sent a new CD to someone who had lost it and posted it on the message board. It's worth a shot!

I have a scratch on Disk 1 (since new, but I didn't discover it until I'd tossed the invoice, etc), and have tried emailing and calling EK for a fix. Never got any satisfaction. It only affects 2 or 3 of the physics lectures so I managed.
