Aug 2004 MCAT scores who will be the first

Now I will admit I've been checking for my scores everyday since we took the damm test and I know there are others who like me are hoping on the off chance that the scores are posted early. So who here will be the first to start asking them when the scores will be released and what do you think they will say 😕

I have bad news for you. I already predicted this in another thread, based on past MCAT exam/release dates.

I took the test on April 17th and got our scores on June 14th. For the group before us, they took it on August 16th and the scores were posted October 14th.

Your test was on August 14th. I imagine they'll release them on a Monday or Tuesday. So my guess for your scores would be... the morning of October 12th

They don't get posted early. Save yourself trouble and stop checking them until at least 55 days have passed. Really you could wait until the night of the 59th day and not miss out.

how early will you know if you pay them that extra fee to check online?

or that what the 55 days is about?

There is no additional fee to check online. You would get your scores earlier that way than by US mail, but that's the timeline I was talking about (60 days).

Get your online account set up early to avoid the rush as the score day comes closer.

nope, not me. i'm avoiding the mcat site like the plague & don't plan to check at all until i see a flurry of emails from ppl saying they got theirs. too much torture in doing that to yourself & it won't hurry my crappy score along. how's that for optimism!? :laugh:

I checked once just to see what the site looked like. I won't check again until the night of the 59th day.

I was just wondering what it said on the score page. Right now it says that I have no MCAT scores yet - is that what it should say at this point?

But I'm not going to start checking the scores reguarly until October, there's no way they'll be up sooner.

Yup, "You have no scores" until they actually post your first set. They post the release date on the public part of the website a week or two in advance. April scores came out about 9-10pm on the night before the website said the scores would be released.

Actually, though, when you guys get close to the day the scores come out (say, like, after 50 days), the MCAT website will specifically say: August 2004 MCAT scores will be available on: "blank." They'll give you the exact day, so you don't have to check every five minutes on days 50-65. It makes things a lot less stressful

hey that's exactly what i was going to say. so i wll be the last one to check.

i've been known to not check my semester grades for a week after they are posted.

And it's the night before the day they list on the website, right?

that's not a bad thing. every single time in my life where i had something catastrophic occur that i couldn't handle i "conveniently" had major things to do that totally occupied my time such that i didn't have to think or worry about it, or at times i didn't have to feel and handle the pain. it works very well and i have affected an extremely good system of denial. 😀

You mean I took the MCATs in August? No way. I don't believe you. There isn't a chance that I put myself through that for a second time. Or is there????

actually you didn't. don't you remember there was a national cheating scandal and the tests were stolen the night before and all the tests were cancelled? therefore there was no test. instead they are awarding all who signed up a 35. 😀

That would be too bad. Why accept such a mediocre score when you could have done better actually taking it? :laugh:

So when you log into THX and it says you have no scores yet...Does that turn into a link to your scores or do your scores just pop up there?

Your scores will be displayed where it currently says "You have no scores yet."

It's not very flashy, either. They're just there all of a sudden.

What does THX says if you have scores previously?

Mine just displays April 2k4 scores.

I was just wondering if it would say something along the lines "Your august scores will be available in 60 days".

i wish i could just have my scores already. i know you all do too but sheesh, i hate having my life on hold waiting to see if i screwed up royally and will have to retake or if i did decently and have a fighting chance.

OK So I got bored and emailed the AAMC about when test scores will be released and if they will be delayed because of the hurricane. I'll find out tomorrow and post the answer here.
