I am taking the Kaplan now. I have just completed all my prereq's (
A's & B's). I will be applying in June of next year. Would you recomend I take the August MCAT? Would I be better of when I have had some classes that will help me or taking the test when it is fresh on my mind?

Thanks

Absolutely.

I took AAMC practice exam 5 & 6 last summer 03.

I also took the same practice exams last fall 03.

I did significantly better during the summer on physics and organic (even though I still did not take physics 2, but with a intro level genetics). I got the same exact score both times. I say take it when you are fresh out of your classes. Worse comes to worse, you can take it in April, but then you'll have an idea of what and how to improve, if needed. My two friends did what you did, and not having to worry about the MCAT so early is a great advantage to your classes.
