Does anyone think it is worth applying for admission in the year 2000 if I will be taking the August MCAT?

I have taken the '95 MCAT and got a V:11, B:11, P:8. However, I have to take a more recent test and up my Phys Sci score.

I think schools will hold my app until they receive the results of the August MCAT, and this will give my already borderline app a significant disadvantage. Is this a correct assumption?

My advice would be if your application is currently strong (i.e., have a high GPA, have good extracurrics), then taking the August MCAT won't be much of a hindrance. But if your GPA is low, your extracurrics are "so-so," and you anticipate your MCATs will be anything but stellar, waiting a year may not be such a bad idea.

You won't really know until you try.
