My feeling coming out of the August MCAT was that I did terrible. For me, the CG version was more difficult than any of the AAMC practice tests (#3-7) that I attempted.

Just as a measure of the overall feeling for anyone who had a booklet beginning with 'C,' how did you think the test compared to the practice tests? I know it was terribly difficult for me in comparision,...but I don't know if that holds true for the majority of other test takers.

One thing to note is that I was counting on PS and VR to carry me so hitting a wall in PS and VR set the tone,...BS was probably going to be tough for me regardless. I thought the majority of PS was VERY tough and even though VR started off easy, at the end it was impossible.

I am still hopeful, mind you. Just not overly confident.

I had from CT and thought the test was particularly hard. It was much more difficult than the AAMC Practice tests. The Physics section seemed to be more conceptual which makes it difficult to judge how well I did. The VR was easy at the beginning and impossible toward the finish. I was shocked by the difficulty of the BS. I had always done well on the Practice Tests and thought for sure I'd have no problem on the real thing. I know for certain I missed some really easy questions and probably a lot of difficult questions. Some of the passages made little sense to me and I'm usually good at deciphering experimental results. So, I'm terrified to see my scores. I really hope it won't keep me from applying this year! 😕

I had CH. I was blown over by PS, too. It started out ok with the drum questions... I felt I was nailing them and I went through that section pretty quickly. But that was the end of the easy part for me. I guessed at the entire contraption section... because I left it for last and then I didn't have time. Heck, after the drum section, I only remember 5 questions or so that I answered with confidence. So I'm sure I did HORRIBLY in that section.

VR was good. I usually do well in that section and this one felt pretty typical.

BS was ok. I remember finishing about 10 minutes early and I noticed two others who were done early, too. I had time to go over questions I wasn't sure about... but still feeling ok about them, I didn't change anything.

I'm terrified of my PS score... I don't think it could be any higher than a 6. VR should be at least a 10. BS should be about 10-ish.

Just two more weeks or so, guys! :luck:

I had your form and YES! I found it immensley (sp?) difficult and I really felt blown away (in a bad way) by it...

I guess we'll see when the results come in, hopefully the curve will work out

i had form fk and i agree with you guys on the PS section (it sucked) - what bothered me was that i spent days upon days memorizing countless formulas and other bits of useless info, and for the actual PS section, i probably only needed to remember two or three of those formulas; the rest was given on the exam or was conceptual. i thought the VR section was OK (not easy, but not terribly hard, either). but here is the thing: AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO THOUGHT THE BIO SECTION WAS EASY? im not just saying this to spite others who thought it was difficult, but man, i honestly was pleasantly surprised by how simple the passages were.
